The Coral FLNG is recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor.
Workplace: Offshore (Mozambique).
Role:
- To supervise a team of Contractor team and personnel carrying out maintenance activities on mechanical equipment of facilities according to plan in order to assure the maximum equipment availability respecting all internal maintenance procedures and best-practices and all the Coral FLNG S.A. HSE policy and contribute in eliminating and reducing risk involved in the jobs;
- Ensure the maintenance of the Coral FLNG Facility to meet all target key objectives with a focus on improved maintainability, reliability and availability.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the facility is safely maintained in line with all current legislation and practices whist meeting HSE & production targets;
- Maintain the housekeeping and orderliness of maintenance workshop;
- Delegate and direct the Mechanical staff to complete work activities safely;
- Give clear direction as to what needs to be done and monitor performance against a predetermined deadline;
- Executing detailed scheduling of mechanical maintenance activities according to maintenance plan, workload, manpower availability, company procedures and priorities set by the Maintenance Superintendent;
- Managing materials and tools required for the maintenance;
- Work orders panning & execution;
- Supervising Mechanical maintenance teams;
- Application of the relevant HSEQ procedures during maintenance work;
- Endorsing work feedback and close out work orders in the maintenance database;
- Checking and supervising the mechanical works carried out by contractors and accept them upon completion;
- Drafting improvement maintenance proposals;
- Execute the condition-monitoring program and maintain record and give advice to mechanical Superintendent on machinery health;
- Set priorities, plan, and execute work activities by planning with long-range horizons based upon a sound knowledge of Operation/Maintenance expectations: policies, budgets and strategy;
- Coral FLNG SA is the Special Purpose Entity responsible to develop and operate Coral South floating platform (FLNG);
- To provide on the job training and guidance for subordinates;
- Plan, direct and supervise mechanical maintenance activities of team personnel in maintaining the company facility to meet all target key objectives with a focus on improved maintainability, reliability and availability;
- Make daily report on the progress of maintenance activities and submit it to Maintenance Superintendent;
- Ensure that Maintenance Contractor manpower meets required JD skills set and competencies;
- Review and optimize Company 2 years operating spare parts and ensure availability and optimization of spares parts.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering;
- Minimum of 10 years field experience in the Mechanical maintenance in oil and gas or petrochemical industry preferably cryogenic operation/LNG with experience in high voltage power generation and high and low voltage power distribution systems;
- Must possess strong analysis & troubleshooting skills in Turbine, Compressors, pumps, Diesel Engines, heat exchangers, Valves, PSV’S and other mechanical systems;
- Leading edge experience in Cryogenic operation for LNG;
- Proven track record as a Mechanical engineer;
- Fluent knowledge of English.
Competencies:
- Minimum of 7-10 years field experience in oil & gas or petrochemical industry preferably cryogenic operation/LNG in the field of instrumentation and control;
- Working experience on Turbine, Compressors, pumps, Diesel Engines, heat exchangers, Valves, PSV’S and other mechanical systems;
- Must have a strong commitment and working knowledge of safety and loss control programmes;
- Experience in FLNG or FPSO will be preferred;
- CMMS management;
- Company Asset integrity & Maintenance Vision & Plant on-line availability;
- Proactive and Corrective Maintenance Practice/Financial Return & Value Maximization;
- Compliance: Local/National and International Standard and Codes, Health, Safety, Environment, Quality;
- Maintenance Operations: Mechanical Maintenance, Troubleshooting techniques knowledge;
- Maintenance Engineering: CMMS Activities, Maintenance systems and policies knowledge;
- Metal & Corrosion: Metallurgic, Coating Inspections.
Education and Training:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering;
- Management skills course;
- HSE basic course;
- Maintenance Advanced course;
- CMMS SAP system;
- Project Management basic course.
