Aldelia is recruiting a Supplier Development Lead for Maputo.
Responsibilities:
- Leads development and implementation of Local Content strategies and plans to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements as well as external commitments to stakeholders;
- Responsible for oversight and collaboration with Contractors to develop, achieve, and continuously improve National supplier procurement procedures, utilization and development programs;
- Manages the development and oversight of Company-led supplier development initiatives;
- Leads the inclusion of Local Content, and specifically National supplier utilization and development, into Company business processes and plans;
- Leads reporting for supplier-related Local Content data/metrics, and designs and builds Project Local Content updates, including narrative, graphics, dashboards, and reports, both in written an oral form internally and externally;
- Monitors the global, national and Local Content landscape to inform continuous improvement;
- Strong communication skills with the ability to lead and facilitate complex discussions with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Skilled in interacting with senior leaders and officials;
- Able to plan in a strategic and innovative manner;
- In depth knowledge of Mozambican local content law and government landscape;
- Experienced in designing and implementing supplier development programs;
- Experience leading supplier development including programs and events, procurement, National supplier capacity for oil & gas and construction industries, and contractor management;
- Strong ability to collaborate with counterparts to actively support and participate in other Local Content activities other Socioeconomic Management activities;
- Stewards the Enterprise Development Center activities and contract management.
Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification in Law, Business, Commercial, Economics, Social Science & Humanities, or related field;
- Minimum 15 years business, government, or other organization with local content and supplier development experience;
- Experience designing and implementing supplier development initiatives;
- Leadership skill in alignment, empowerment and continuously improving performance;
- Commercial knowledge to complement supplier development understanding is essential;
- Knowledge of legislation applicable to the Mozambique petroleum industry specifically those related to Local Content (labor law, local content legislations, etc.);
- Good appreciation of government systems;
- Strong report writing and presentation skills; public speaking experience;
- Excellent written and oral English;
- High level of interpersonal skills in a multi-cultural work environment;
- Experience organizing supplier events and development;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Proven management and leadership skills;
- Adaptable to changing priorities;
- Ability to assess and act on project resource needs;
- Experience interacting with a variety of external entities (e.g., government agencies, NGOs, local communities, EPCs, Lender institution representatives).
