Aldelia is recruiting a Construction Engineer for Cabo Delgado.
Responsibilities:
- Project Identification: Identify potential infrastructure projects that align with the company’s mission and goals.
- Procurement and Tendering: Oversee the procurement process, prepare bills of quantity, and verify technical soundness of processes with relevant procurement units.
- Supervision of Works: Provide on-site supervision of construction activities to ensure adherence to project specifications, timelines, and budgets.
- Verification and Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough inspections and quality assurance checks to verify the execution of works meets the required standards.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with local authorities, contractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth project implementation.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed progress reports and documentation for project milestones and completion.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing infrastructure projects with integrity.
- Strong knowledge of procurement and tendering processes related to civil works.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools.
- Proficiency in both Portuguese and English. Knowledge of local languages as a plus.
