Aldelia is recruiting a Lending Manager for Maputo.
Responsibilities:
- Increase the asset portfolio in line with the budget.
- Manage the profitability of the retail credit portfolio, complying with the performance indicators established for each product.
- Create innovative credit initiatives and products in line with good credit practices
- Formulate strategies to increase the loan portfolio in a profitable and prudent manner.
- Monitoring and reviewing the credit capacities of the consumer asset portfolio to ensure that objectives are met and trends to ensure the overall profitability of the portfolio.
- Periodically monitor and analyze the performance of the consumer and other asset portfolio to ensure compliance with the bank’s risk appetite statement.
- Ensure management of the asset portfolio in accordance with the bank’s risk parameters, including defaults, Non-Performing Loans (NPLs) and arrears.
- Coordinating the creation of consumer credit products and solutions, while ensuring relevance to customer needs in selected customer segments, in order to complement the business unit’s overall strategy and regulatory requirements.
- Guiding the pricing strategy to ensure fulfilment of the company’s objectives.
- Ensure customer retention through complementary lending and cross-selling opportunities.
- Utilize and drive credit analysis/CVM to identify good risk clients for business development.
- Monitor and review the Behavioral Lending Score Card to ensure the growth of a sustainable quality portfolio.
- Prepare business cases for potential programmes and present them to key company decision makers for input and approval.
- Design the flow of processes and procedures for plan applications to ensure operational efficiency and legal and audit compliance.
- Supporting branch managers in analyzing and identifying opportunities to improve credit activity.
- Oversee the integrity of systems related to the administration of loan plans to ensure accurate information and effective customer service.
- Maintain relationships with stakeholders to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Proactively manage the recoveries and collection of all loan products, liaising with the payroll administrators of each company on a monthly basis.
- Managing the invoicing and collections of the scheme’s loans to ensure the collection of all monthly loan repayments.
- Main focal point for Retail credit, ensuring better relations with other internal departments and the regulator.
- Establishing performance objectives by product and the product’s contribution to the portfolio
- Providing training for customer-facing staff, e.g. product knowledge, sales complaint management process, operations, controls, etc.
- Effective implementation and execution of projects planned for the business, e.g. improving the customer experience, system efficiencies, process reviews.
