Aldelia is recruiting a Technical Systems Manager – SRMP Analyst (Supplier Relationship Management Portal) for Maputo.
Summary:
The Supplier Registration Management Portal Analyst main responsibilities include managing the collection of technical and operational data, producing detailed reports on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and ensuring the effectiveness of the system’s management and monitoring processes. Working closely with the technical team, suppliers and stakeholders, the Technical Systems Manager ensures the quality, security and alignment of the portal with the strategic objectives of the project. In addition, he/she will actively collaborate with partners and key contributors, analysing and sharing progress reports detailing the system’s performance and impact on the achievement of project objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic System Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans for the management and continuous improvement of the Supplier Management Portal in line with the objectives and needs of stakeholders.
- Performance monitoring and analysis: Regularly monitor the overall operation of the system; analyse metrics and technical reports to identify inconsistencies, bugs or areas for improvement; and ensure the stability and efficiency of the portal.
- Incident management and problem resolution: Identify and prioritise inconsistencies or bugs in the system, communicate with the technical team to ensure their agile and effective resolution. Document processes and solutions implemented.
- Stakeholder Communication Management: Maintain clear, objective and professional communication with all system stakeholders, in Portuguese and English. Provide technical support and regular updates on the status and improvements of the portal.
- Technical team collaboration and leadership: Lead and coordinate the team responsible for technical support of the portal, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
- Planning for future improvements: Anticipating future system needs, proposing innovations and improvements to maintain alignment with project objectives and user requirements.
- Knowledge of procurement processes: Have a basic understanding of processes such as EOIs, RFPs and RFQs to ensure that the portal is used correctly and that its functionality is aligned with operational requirements. Ensure that users understand the basic steps of these processes and that errors are avoided when using the relevant functionality in the system.
- Management of work tools: Demonstrate advanced proficiency in tools such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Power BI, ensuring the correct and effective use of each for its specific purpose. This includes the ability to produce detailed reports, create high-impact analytical presentations and use data to promote transparency and informed decision making.
- User training and capacity building: Developing and delivering technical training for portal users to ensure that stakeholders understand and use the system’s functionalities effectively.
- Evaluation and impact reporting: Regularly evaluate the impact of the portal on supplier management and the achievement of project objectives, using key performance indicators (KPIs) to inform strategic adjustments and ensure continuous improvement.
- Manage the collection, analysis and updating of performance metrics for various areas of the company to ensure that strategic decisions are based on data.
- Contribute to the production and updating of information materials, internal reports and analytical reports for stakeholders and strategic partners.
Qualifications:
- Degree in systems engineering, information technology, project management or related field.
- At least 5 years of proven experience in technical systems management and operational analysis, including supervising teams and solving complex problems in enterprise systems.
- Fluency in Portuguese and English, with advanced verbal and written communication skills, ensuring clear and effective interaction with stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience in identifying and resolving inconsistencies or bugs in portals, ensuring correct usage and alignment of the system with project objectives.
- Advanced knowledge of tools such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Power BI, with the ability to use each tool to produce analysis, detailed reports and high-impact presentations.
- Practical understanding and ability to manage procurement processes such as EOI’s, RFP’s and RFQ’s, ensuring that the functionality of the portal is correctly applied to these processes.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience of working or studying in an international or multicultural context, especially in areas related to systems management or technology integration in large projects.
- Expertise in technologies and systems applicable to supplier management, including solutions for procurement processes and data management.
- Previous experience in leading technical teams or managing business systems, demonstrating the ability to oversee complex operations and interact with high-level stakeholders.
- Additional certifications or qualifications in areas such as systems management (ITIL, COBIT) or data analysis (Power BI, Tableau).
- Familiarity with procurement processes and best practices, such as EOIs, RFPs and RFQs, and experience in aligning support systems with the procurement needs of large projects.
- Network of contacts in the technology and enterprise systems sector in Mozambique, including technical partners, suppliers and relevant institutions.
- Previous experience in implementing or maintaining supplier management systems or similar platforms, with a focus on continuous improvement and integration of new functionality.
- Familiarity with digital tools and platforms that support the operation of corporate systems, such as CRMs, ticketing systems and performance monitoring platforms.
- Ability to use quantitative and qualitative methods to assess the performance and impact of systems and to propose improvements based on hard data.
- Interest in and knowledge of areas related to supply chain development and data management in the oil and gas sector.
