Aldelia is recruiting a Head Sector for Maputo.
Responsibilities:
- Bringing the whole bank’s offering/solutions to clients.
- Overseeing and leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver superior solutions/products, insights, and ideas to clients.
- Deep sector expertise and broader financial product knowledge.
- Idea and solution origination across multiple products.
- Client growth, retention, and penetration.
- Client performance and profitability across products/ solutions.
- Client satisfaction and engagement.
- The sectors within CCG are led by Sector Heads who are fully accountable for the sector strategy and performance as well as key strategic clients within the sector. Other roles within the client group include:
- Lead Banker: End-to-end client accountability across balance sheet (event) and income statement (flow) for client.
- Dual responsibility for solutions innovation and ideation, development, and implementation as part of their day-to-day activities.
- Sector Banker: Accountable and responsible for origination of client transactional flow activity within the bank.
- Transactors Responsible for product and client solutions ideation and innovation development and implementation and product growth and performance, working conjunction with sector bankers or lead bankers where applicable.
- Flow is defined broadly as ary banking activity that occurs on a more frequent basis and orten requires.
- The Sector Head is responsible for bringing the whole bank’s offering to clients within their specific sector. They are responsible for origination across multiple products. They articulate and drive the sector strategy & budgets and have overall accountability for the management, growth, and profitability of clients within the sector.
- They lead the client planning within the sector, are accountable for leading a multidisciplinary team to deliver on the client plans and have deep sectoral / product expertise.
- A key aspect of the role is the leadership responsibility for the transactors and specialists within the sector, providing technical guidance /training, industry knowledge, leadership oversight, and driving performance and accountability.
- They have direct responsibility and accountability of some top clients (strategic clients) within the sector portfolio, serving as the primary point of contact for the client’s C-Suite leaders (e.g, CEO/CFO) and actively driving client planning, engagement, and strategy.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, CA or related field. Post Graduate degree is an added advantage.
- Min 10 years’ experience in a similar role, scope and size of organization.
- Deep technical expertise in client relationship management.
- Proven track record in leading client relationship management teams.
- Deep knowledge of the banking sector and products.
- Well, networked in the business network within corporate South Africa and preferably Broader Africa.
