A Aldelia está a recrutar um (1) Community Liaison Lead para Cabo Delgado.
Responsibilities:
- Implement approved communication strategies for engaging with Project stakeholders.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders in Palma District and Cabo Delgado Province, including district authorities, community leaders and members civil society organizations, and other community-based groups.
- Ensure consistent messaging and timely information sharing with all stakeholders.
- Team Leadership & Coordination.
- Supervise and support Community Liaison Officers and Village Liaison Officers teams.
- Design and oversee engagement plans aligned with the Project’s Socioeconomic Management Plans, Plan of Development (POD), and Lender commitments.
- Monitoring & Reporting.
- Work with other socioeconomic management teams for alignment on site activities (Communications, Community Investment, Project Induced Immigration).
- Collaborate with Area 1 for community joint activities and plans.
- Provide supervision and best practice management of site-based Community.
- Liaison Officers and Village Liaison Officers.
- Design and oversee engagement plans aligned with the Project’s Socioeconomic Management Plans, Plan of Development (PoD), and Lender’s commitments.
- Maintain respectful and informed relationships with local authorities and host communities to ensuring their involvement/“buy-in”.
- Engage regularly with directly and indirectly impacted communities to monitor perceptions, needs, and reactions to project activities.
- Ensure inclusion of vulnerable groups in engagement processes.
- Support the implementation of the community grievance mechanism include:
- Collect and escalate community grievances and issues through appropriate internal systems.
- Identify potential issues early and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Assist on resolution process and necessary engagements for grievance resolution.
- Monitor engagement activities and ensure accurate data capture and reporting.
- Coordinate with internal teams (socioeconomics, construction, logistics, security) to align community engagement efforts.
- Collaborate with Area 1 Community Relations Team to ensure consistency across projects and develop joint activities and plans (A1/A4).
- Ensures that all data, information, and documentation related to stakeholder engagement is entered the Project Information Management System with high quality and accuracy.
- Prepare community engagements reports including engagement topics, issues trends, data/metrics, graphics, and dashboards.
- Recommends changes to the stakeholder engagement process based on Lessons Learned.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Community Affairs Manager.
Qualifications:
- 8 – 10 years’ experience in complex operating environments, with understanding of the various project phases.
- Degree or specialization in socioeconomic, external affairs, law, sustainability or related field.
- Proven management and leadership skills.
- Relationship building skills.
- Experience external communications, stakeholder engagement, and conflict resolution.
- Fluent in English and Portuguese. Fluency in local northern region languages such as Swahili, Kimwane, Makonde, or Makua will be an advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; persuasive with strong business perspective.
- Demonstrated initiative, coordination, and planning abilities.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills, self-motivated with strong work ethic.
- Excellent report writing skills.
