A Vodacom Moçambique pretende recrutar imediatamente, um(a) Senior Specialist: Ethics & Compliance, para Maputo.

Role purpose: To ensure that Vodacom Mozambique maintains high standards of corporate governance with respect to general legal and policy compliance, compliance with the company code of conduct, and compliance with laws relating to anti-corruption, money laundering and terrorist financing (anti-CMT), sanctions and privacy.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership

• Managing and conducting country and company risk assessments in compliance areas;
• Establishing, implementing and improving company policies, codes and procedures in the light of applicable laws as amended from time to time, providing training and advice to staff and business partners in respect of governance issues, particularly those relating to compliance and ethics;
• Performing due diligences of high risk potential business partners and due diligence reviews of existing business partners and liaising and cooperating with external stakeholders engaged in preventing and combating CMT and promoting compliance in other areas;
• Conducting compliance reviews and preliminary investigations of possible violations of internal policies, codes and procedures, as well applicable anti-CMT and other laws and standards;
• Reporting;
• Assistance.

Core competencies, knowledge and experience

• Knowledge of antibribery and anticorruption laws as well as Economic Sanctions and Trade Controls;
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail;
• Ability to work with minimum supervision and to work within a team to achieve goals;
• Ability to engage with different business units of the company;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (Portuguese and English);
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Corporate Governance (ABC and Sanctions Compliance specific experience is an advantage).

Must have technical / professional qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Law, Finance, Management or related field;
• Experience in audit is an advantage.

Key performance indicators

• Policy Compliance reviews though risk and self-assessments;
• Policy inventory;
• Awareness of compliance risks in Vodacom Mozambique.
