A Aldelia está a recrutar um (1) Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) and Reporting Lead para Maputo.
The Socioeconomic M&E and Reporting Lead plays a critical role in ensuring socioeconomic data is captured, saved, evaluated, updated, monitored, and reported. This role will ensure that performance metrics, data collection processes, and reporting tools are in place to track progress against project goals and inform decision-making.
The key aspects of this role are to:
- Develop/revise and implement a Socioeconomic Monitoring and Evaluation Framework.
- Advocate for reasonable socioeconomic-related requirements where applicable.
- Interface/coordinate with SeM team to collect SeM required data and track implementation of SeM management plans developed are and implemented.
- Interface with BU to ensure alignment between the country strategy and current project scope
- Align the various resources focused on socioeconomic activities (including environment, security and P&GA) so that key community issues are properly identified and managed to meet the business needs.
- Coordinate stewardship and reporting of socioeconomic performance indicators.
- Conduct data analysis to inform adaptive management when required.
- Lead the onboarding, coaching, upskilling, and mentoring of the Monitoring and Evaluation team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement M&E frameworks and systems to monitor and evaluate SeM performance in line with best practices and company policies.
- Lead in collecting, managing, and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data to produce accurate and timely reports for management, partners, and stakeholders
- Manage appropriate data management tool (e.g. Isometrix).
- Ensure data is accurately recorded and maintained in databases. Work closely with technical teams, contractors, and other project staff to ensure data integrity, consistency, and accessibility across all project components.
- Use data analysis tools to interpret data and generate insights.
- Prepare and present detailed internal (Senior leadership, monthly, quarterly, success stories, etc.) and external reports (GoM, CoVs, IESC, etc.) on project performance and outcomes.
- Develop dashboards and visualizations to communicate data findings effectively.
- Ensure compliance with reporting requirements and project and lenders standards.
- Lead and manage a team of M&E and data reporting technicians.
- Provide training and support to team members on M&E methodologies and data management practices.
- Collaborate internally with SeM team and project stakeholders to understand their information needs and ensure they are met.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders to inform decision-making.
- Identify areas for improvement in M&E processes and implement adaptive management.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing events to promote best practices and highlight lessons learned.
- Stay updated with the latest socioeconomic M&E and data reporting trends and best practices
- Coordinate Management of Change proposals relative to the SeM plans, impact identification and propose appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation measures Track progress against milestones and key deliverables.
- Review and monitor project Impact Mitigation measures contained in the Socioeconomic Management Plans (e.g., Project Induced Immigration, Cultural Heritage, Land Management, Resettlement, Human Rights, etc.).
- Commission Additional Studies as required.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Typically, a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field such as social sciences, public policy, , international development, economics, statistics or a related field.
- Experience: Significant experience in M&E, designing evaluation frameworks, analyzing and managing data for decision making and and reporting, often in a leadership role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SPSS, Excel) and data visualization software (e.g., Power BI).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and actionable manner.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Broad socioeconomic skills is an advantage
- Good organizational skills and proven ability to work in a positive team manner
- 10+ years broad-based experience with M&E processes or related transferable skill set (social research methodologies).
