Job Description
- Provide exceptional immigration advice and administrative support for foreign nationals in Mozambique and globally with respect to work permits, DIRE, work and business visas, mobilization, on-site support and repatriation.
- Responsible for assisting all TEPMA1 employees that enter Mozambique through the work and business visaon-arrival process, through seamless coordination with the Director of Immigration and assistance upon arrival at Maputo and Pemba International Airports.
- Responsible for assisting all TEPMA1 employees’ dependents that enter Mozambique through the Consulate residence visa in coordination with the Embassy/Consulate of Mozambique in the country of origin.
- Accompany employees and dependents to the Directorate of Immigration for the actual work and residence visa applications.
- Proactively identify trends and constraints and implement supporting immigration provisions and effective solutions to resolve matters and encourage process improvement, greater collaboration and streamlined service delivery both internally and externally with Maputo and Pemba International Airports.
- Liaise directly with government entities including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Justice to obtain legalisation of specific documentation.
- Remain abreast of all changes and updates on immigration policies and procedures that affect foreign nationals in the company and communicate relevant changes with the Immigration Supervisor.
- Assist TEPMA1 subcontractors to ensure ongoing compliance with submission of project specific work permit and visa-on-arrival applications.
- Perform administrative duties associated with immigration, including but not limited to processing payments and/or reimbursements, processing invoices, generating reports and maintaining required legal documentation.
- Manage the preparation of visas for Mozambican employees traveling overseas, accompanying them to the Consulate appointments to resolve potential complications.
- Maintain accurate databases for all processes.
- Keep track of documents and processes.
- Act as Local Information Officer for TEPMA1’s HR Department- duties include supporting data security and data management initiatives within affiliate.
- Actively adhere to and promote ongoing compliance with mandatory HSE trainings (HSE Induction and the elearnings One MAESTRO for All, Safety Culture & Golden Rules), and prepare and present safety moments during team meetings whenever required.
Context and environment
- This position works with a range of different clients, stakeholders, government agencies, Embassies amongst others in order to fulfil the project needs.
- Typically work full time, and some may have to work overtime and travel to different provinces/country to meet deadlines.
Candidate profile
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- Degree in law, international relations, or similar is preferred.
- Experience as an immigration consultant, preferably with expertise in relocating individuals to more than one country.
- 3+ years professional experience working with immigration.
- Top-notch research, fact-checking, and writing abilities.
- Effectively communicate (written and verbal) to interact and interface with internal clients and external candidates.
- Capacity to support worried clients.
- Strict observance of all applicable deadlines.
- Solution-oriented approach to fulfilling duties.
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively work across multiple HR functions and business teams, understanding and anticipating stakeholder needs and collaborating to develop effective solutions.
- Respect and manage confidential information.
- Extremely organized to effectively manage multiple visa and work permit in a high activity environment.
- Understand and utilize applicable Labour and Immigration laws.
- Proficient computer skills with applications such as MS Office, E-Visa and SIMIGRA System is a plus.
